Agreement to These Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Data Skill Range (“we,” “us,” or “our”), including our website, courses, practice activities, prompts, assessments, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Independent Educational Platform
Data Skill Range is an independent educational platform. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, approved by, or endorsed by the U.S. Department of War, U.S. Department of Defense, U.S. Army, any military command, or any government agency.
Nothing on the Service constitutes official guidance, policy, or authorization from any government entity.
Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for activity under your account.
You agree to provide accurate account information and to notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
Acceptable Use
Prohibited information
You may not submit, upload, or enter classified, controlled, confidential, operational, proprietary, or private personal information through the Service unless you are expressly authorized to do so and the Service is approved for that use.
Use only public, fictional, synthetic, or otherwise authorized content in prompts, forms, assessments, and support messages. See our Responsible Use page for additional guidance.
Prohibited conduct
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data
- Interfering with the Service or other users
- Scraping, bulk harvesting, or automated abuse of public features
- Uploading malware or malicious code
- Misrepresenting your affiliation with any government or organization
- Using the Service in violation of applicable law
AI-Assisted Features
Some features send the content you submit to an AI provider for processing. We send only the content required to provide the feature. AI output may be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying results before relying on them.
Do not use AI features for decisions that require official authorization, legal compliance, safety-critical operations, or handling of sensitive information unless you are using approved systems and procedures.
Content and Intellectual Property
We own or license the Service, including course materials, prompts, templates, branding, and software. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for personal or internal workplace learning.
You retain ownership of content you submit, but grant us a license to host, process, and display it as needed to operate the Service, enforce these Terms, and improve educational features.
Third-Party Services
The Service may rely on third-party infrastructure such as hosting, authentication, email delivery, media storage, and AI providers. Your use of those features may be subject to additional provider terms.
Educational Purpose and Disclaimers
The Service is provided for educational purposes only. Content is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not guarantee employment, certification, promotion, qualification, or operational readiness outcomes.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Data Skill Range and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars.
Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create security risk, or if required by law. You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections that by nature should survive termination will survive.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we publish a materially new version, we will update the effective date and may require renewed acceptance before continued use of account features.
